When a logged out registered user tries to access content that requires a log in, they are shown a screen that says “sign up” which creates confusion for users who are already signed up, but are logged out at the time.
Then the second screen prompts them to “log in” (or create an account).
The first screen should say “log in or register” or at least “log in” and then they can prompted to sign up if they don’t have an account.
This is a very small thing, but will provide a consistent message and eliminate confusion for the people using circles.

This really is a UI copy inconsistency and it should be fixed. It’s not really a “suggestion”. It’s an error.

In the meantime, I’ve made some custom code to change the wording on the first screen to change the button to say “Log in” in case anyone wants it.

Agreed. Seems like an error and should be beter presented to endusers.

Yes!! this is really confusing
