We have several affiliate partners who build websites for their clients, i.e. they don’t just refer but actually act as partners. They build the websites, invite the client to the project, and should then receive commission on the acquisition.
Today, in order for it to be tracked correctly in the affiliate system, they have to send their afilliate link to the client, who then registers a new account (and is therefore taken straight into the “choose template and create a new site” flow). After that, the client must be invited to the correct project and set as the project owner, otherwise the commission won’t be recorded properly. This creates a rather confusing workflow. Or, we have to manually add everything which is not manageble in the long run.
Wouldn’t it be possible instead to allow adding the affiliate link directly in the project invitation email that is sent from Dashboard > Admins?
Or is there any other way to make this easier and less comfusing for our website building partners?
