We have many good triggers and conditions in the eMail marketing automation already.
One point that comes up regularly in discussions with other users is the question how to re-activate/deal with eMail contacts that have NOT opened the eMail (or have NOT clicked a link).
Current options catch those that have interacted (user has opened, user has clicked…) via triggers.
If I want to create an automation that covers those that have NOT engaged, e.g. to re-send the campaign (like a reminder), after a certain period of time, or even an unsubscribe action for contacts that have been dormant for a long period but consuming contact counts in the eMail marketing module, this is not possible via an automation currently.
Adding those “non-engagement” options as triggers (e.g. email not opened) would be useful.
Alternatively, add “has opened eMail”, “has clicked a link” as select option for the “if/or” condition within the automation.
Something to note is that a lot of professional email services are now incorporating proxies in their service to mask whether or not an email has been opened/read. However I do think it’s a good feature request and would work with the majority of email services. Keeping your email lists clean and purged of domant subscribers is important and beneficial for everyone on the platform. It woud certainly be a valuable addition to building automation sequences.
