Context of this request is EU directive EU 2023/2673; which is in force as of 19 Jun 2026. Here specifically the requirement of providing the (automatic) date and time stamp in the acknowledgement of receipt. (EU 2023/2673, Article 1, Section (3), No. 4: “Once the consumer activates the confirmation function, the trader shall send to the consumer an acknowledgement of receipt of the withdrawal on a durable medium, including its content and the date and time of its submission, without undue delay”. https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dir/2023/2673/oj/eng)
So in light of this upcoming legal requirement to provide B2C customers in the EU with the option to withdraw their contract online, we do have to provide a form and an acknowledgement of receipt following the form submission.
While the button leading to the form, the form itself as well as subsequent automation for sending the eMail acknowledgement of receipt can be build with current functionalities, we do lack the option to include the date and time stamp in this receipt eMail body text.
While the forms in the Simvoly backend receive the date and time stamp automatically, we cannot call that info into an eMail template that is used for the automation.
To my understanding, the eMail templates currently can only call fields from the CRM, but no other system-available fields (such as the data-role {message-time} that would be required here).
For a workaround: the “date” option in form fields only allows the FE user to select a date, but not the time. Plus, the user would need to actively select this and it would not reflect the exact time of submitting the contract withdrawal request anyways.
Hence my question:
What should be done to add this legally required date/time stamp to eMails ?
