We just discovered that users are prohibited from linking to other websites via email other than their own domain or big sites “ such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.”
This move is really anti-small business as we cannot link to one another, people cannot engage in affiliate marketing. We also have a client who is a non-profit community site and they won’t be able to link to resources in their own communities.
For us alone, this means a potential loss of thousands of dollars in revenue just this week. For our clients, I have no idea the seriousness of the impact, but this is a really bad development that hurts small businesses immensely.
