Flag dropdown for mulit-lang not always the case that country / location is preferred users language (they could be on holiday/working abroad)

Multilingualism also means that different page structures and custom URLs are possible. In a second language, for example, often only parts of the content are published. Also, the URLs need to be localized.

would be wonderful if auto detect language based on the browser, if language does not exist lets redirect to the default language.

Idea: Page groups could be used to add a prefix to an url, like “/de” or “/en”. All sub-pages could inherit it automatically then. One pagegroup could be set as the default which would be used if no language prefix is set.

Would be nice if “translated” pages could be linked to their default language equivalent. So a language switcher could figure out the deep link to switch to.

I think multi-lingual support may need to be tackled before products.. of course product (and product info) could be variants. Multilingual sites are a must for European and govt websites

Besides the URL, which is already possible to achieve now (more or less), it also needs to have the right code under the hood… See language codes for reference

I’m losing clients because this isn’t available … They don’t want some workaround, they want a real multilingual site. When I show them Simvoly, they see the value but this is a dealbreaker for them …
